Obituary of Dr. George F. Loehfelm

Please share a memory of Dr. George to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Died peacefully March 4, 2023. Beloved husband of Nancy (Rogers) for 51 years + 1 day. Proud father of Sarah, Daniel, Michael (Robyn), Dr. Thomas (Dr. Angela), and Timothy (Courtney). Loving grandfather of Haley, Madelyn, Devon, George, Liviana, Hazel, and Henry. Oldest brother of William (Karin) Loehfelm, Richard Loehfelm, and Dr. Elizabeth (Dr. Robert) Hartman. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dr. Loehfelm was an OBGYN physician at OLV Hospital, Mercy Hospital, and Children’s Hospital, and in private practice for over 30 years. He lived a life defined by charity, giving freely of himself at the OLV Infant Home and the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation as a doctor, and to Meals-on-Wheels and the South Buffalo Community Table soup kitchen upon retirement. We offer our eternal gratitude to the staff at the Mercy Nursing Facility at OLV for their care for “Doc” for the last three and a half years. Friends may call Thursday March 9th from 2-7PM at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME 3155 Orchard Park Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 12PM at Sts. Peter and Paul Church 66 E. Main St. Hamburg, NY. Please assemble at church. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Mercy Nursing Facility at OLV.
